What is Security Footage Review?
Security footage review is a needle-in-haystack problem: an incident lasting seconds is buried in hours of a static scene. This workflow applies static-frame filtering — the same technique used in professional CCTV investigation — locally in your browser. The scanner samples the recording at one-second steps, measures how much each frame changes, and reports only the windows with real activity, each with a peak thumbnail and a jump button. Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe for evidence footage, HR cases and anything covered by privacy rules that forbid third-party processing.
Common Uses for Security Footage Review
- Locate a break-in or package theft window in a day-long export
- Check overnight recordings without scrubbing at 16× speed
- Find the moment a door opened in an otherwise static hallway cam
- Prepare timestamped incident notes for a police report or insurer
